Community Outreach

The Next Generation Christian Science Fellowship embraces Mary Baker Eddy's statement that:

"A Christian Scientist is a humanitarian; he is benevolent, forgiving, longsuffering, and seeks to overcome evil with good."

(Church Manual of the First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts by Mary Baker Eddy p. 46: 26-3)

Our Christian Community Outreach group is active and looking for more hearts yearning to give!

We have a number of events planned for coming months. We would welcome and appreciate your participation in putting heartfelt prayer into action!

1) Monday March 29 from 3:30pm - 6:30pm: We will serve dinner at The Bridge homeless drop-in center in downtonw St,. Louis. We can use 8-10 volunteers. We will do this again on May 31 and every 5th Monday of the month (when there is a 5th Monday).

2) Saturday, April 17: We've been invited to put on a volunteer appreciation event for The Bridge on Saturday, April 17. We especially need folks who have "entertainment" skills as well as those who can offer general support.

3) Early April - exact date TBD: We will put on a Spring Party for guests of The Bridge. We can use an unlimited number of volunteers for this activity.

4) Saturday, May 22 from 10:00am - 1:00pm: We will volunteer at The St. Louis Area Food Bank. We can use an unlimited number of volunteers for this activity.
